Valid Texas driver license, identity, SSN, self-certification, medical card. Tests in this order: Texas commercial rules, general knowledge, combination (Class A), air brakes if the truck has them. 80% to pass. English only as of June 1, 2026.

20 hours classroom (Mon/Wed/Fri 7–10 pm, Pantego) and 20 hours behind the wheel (Sat/Sun 5–8 pm, Fort Worth yard). We certify theory and BTW to the Training Provider Registry under TPR 13226033.

The permit is not a license. Drive with an instructor only. Use the student yard here for pads and English drills until the skills date feels easy.

Pre-trip inspection (spoken in English), basic control (straight, offset, alley/park), and the road test. Pull-ups are allowed — use them. Schedule at DPS.
